Toaster FAQ’s

Q) Do the platen release sheets require periodic replacement?
A) Yes, with proper cleaning, the release sheets should last approximately 4-6 weeks    (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) Why are the conveyor belt chains too loose?
A) With normal use, the conveyor belt chains stretch over time & will eventually require a small chain link to be removed (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) Why do the buns stick at the top?
A) Typically buns stick because the platen release sheet &/or the silicone belt wraps are worn, or not being properly cleaned (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) My toaster heats but does not rotate?
A) Typically, the safety switch(es) are not being depressed by the removable cover(s) (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) Why are my buns being overly compressed?
A) Typically, the compression setting is improperly set &/or the bun is too thick for the unit (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Steamer FAQ’s

Q) Why does the water on the hot plate surface just bead up & lazily boil away instead of immediately flashing into steam?
A) Either insufficient or excessive mineral build up on the hot plate surface (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) Can my steamer operate on plain tap water?
A) Yes, but mineral build up will accumulate more rapidly.

Q) How do I clean the hot plate surface of mineral buildup?
A) Use a scrapper &/or wire brush (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) What can I use to remove excessive & stubborn mineral buildup from the hot plate surface?
A)  White vinegar or a deliming solution that is suitable for aluminum surfaces (See Equipment Owners Manual).

Q) How much water does the steamer distribute onto the hot plate surface?
A) In general, most steamers distribute approximately 3-4 tablespoons (3/4-1 oz) of water.

Q) Should the hot plate surface fill up with water?
A) No, the hot plate surface should be hot & dry at all times.
